Beating Burnout
Stop stress from dragging you down
Training Overview
In a fact-filled, interactive half-day course, discover the techniques used by teams that thrive in spite of their stress by dealing with pressure in a positive way.
At times, the pressure of working in PR and communications leaves us physically and emotionally drained. But rather than address the issue, many of us try to 'solider on'. This may work for a little while, but eventually our bodies surrender and we have to take time out.
This course, tailor-made for PR and communications professionals, will help you identify when you or your colleagues are struggling with stress and you'll learn techniques for stopping burnout in its tracks by identifying and dealing with the early warning signs.
Why?
Burnout affects not only individuals but organisations as a whole. According to figures from the Government's Health and Safety Executive, one in five UK employees suffer workplace stress, half a million of whom are stressed to the point of illness.
This is because stress comes at us from many different places, often at the same time, and each will need a different way to manage it. People tend to blame themselves - 'maybe I should have managed my stress better' - but it is more complex than that.
We will look at ways to identify your stressors and provide you with a toolkit to help you manage them, including an exercise to take away so you can regularly give yourself a 'balance audit' to help keep everything working in harmony.
